On the Home tab→Solids group, choose the Hole command . |
Step 2. |
Move cursor over the cylindrical face. |
Step 3. |
Press F3 to start the Tangent Plane command. |
Step 4. |
Enter an angular value and press Enter. You can also dynamically drag the plane to define the value. |
Step 5. |
Position the hole and click to place. You can move the cursor over the tangent line and the hole center locks to the tangent line. You can also position the hole with dimensions. Move the cursor over the circular edge and press C. This starts a dimension from the end of the cylinder. Dynamically drag hole and click to place hole or type a distance value and press Enter. In this example, the hole locks to the tangent line so you only need one dimension. |
