In PathFinder or in the graphics window, select the parts you want to inactivate.
On the command bar, click Inactivate.
Tip:
You can also inactivate parts using the Inactivate command on the shortcut menu.
You can set the color for the display of inactive parts on the Colors page of the Solid Edge Options dialog box.
Inactivating parts unloads all the feature history and mathematical part definition and leaves only the graphical representation of the part loaded into memory. This significantly reduces physical memory requirements, which can be useful when working with large assemblies.
