Creates a new document or template.
Tabs
The tabs in the New dialog box show which folder a template resides in. Templates must reside either in the template folder defined in the registry or in a folder created beneath the template folder.
General—The default folder is the General folder. This folder typically contains the most frequently used templates delivered with the software. For example, ISO or metric templates for part, sheet metal, and assembly documents may be stored here.
Quicksheet—The Quicksheet folder contains the Quicksheet templates delivered with the software. You can use the File Locations tab on the Options dialog box to define the folder that contains the templates you want to use to create new documents.
More—The More folder contains additional delivered templates that support other standards. For example, if ISO or metric templates are stored in the General folder, then ANSI, JIS, DIN, Chinese, ESKD, and UNI templates may be stored in the More folder.
Reports—The Reports folder is available for you to store custom templates for other types of documents.
