Controls how Solid Edge documents will be saved in STEP format. STEP is an international standard which defines a neutral file format for representation of geometric, topological and annotation data. Solid Edge supports the STEP standards AP203 class II - class VI entities, AP214 class II - class VI entities, and assemblies.
Solid Bodies, Export To
Specifies how you want to export solid bodies to the STEP file.
Class II Wireframe
Specifies that you want to export the solid bodies to a class II wireframe.
Class IV Surface Models
Specifies that you want to export the solid bodies to a class IV surface model.
Class VI Manifold Solids
Specifies that you want to export the solid bodies to a class VI manifold solid.
Export
Specifies what types of construction geometry you want to export.
Export Solids (Constructions)
Specifies that you want to export any construction geometry that exists as solid bodies.
Export Sheets (Constructions)
Specifies that you want to export any construction geometry that exists as sheet bodies.
Export Wires (Constructions) and Generals
Specifies that you want to export any construction geometry that exists as wire bodies.
Tube Centerlines
Specifies that you want to export only the construction geometry that is visible in the part or assembly.
Export Displayed Only
Specifies that you want to export only the active model and construction geometry that is visible in the part or assembly.
Translation Options
Specifies options for generating log files during translation.
Generate Log File
Produces a log file that contains warnings and information about the files involved in translation. The name of the file is the <filename>.log and it is located in the same folder as the STEP file.
Export AP214
Specifies that you want to export the Solid Edge document to STEP AP214 format, which is supported by many CAD systems. AP214 is the standard STEP specification that is primary used in data exchange throughout the automotive industry.
Export Units
Specifies the units of measurement for the part being exported. You can set the units to millimeters, centimeters, inches, or meters.
User Info
Specifies general user information that you want to include in the Start section of the STEP file.
Author
Specifies the name of the author of the file you want to export.
Organization
Specifies the name of the organization of the file you want to export.
Program
Specifies the name of the program for the file you want to export.
Time Stamp
Displays the time stamp for the file you want to export.
Description
Specifies a description of the file you want to export.
