Feature Callout tab

The Feature Callout tab specifies the hole, slot, and thread depth properties that you want to extract and display in dimensions and annotations. These annotations include hole callouts, feature callouts, balloons, and hole tables.

The Feature Callout tab is available in the Dimension Style dialog box, the Dimension Properties dialog box, and in the Callout Properties dialog box.

Holes

Displays callout data for all simple holes.

Counterbore

Displays callout data for all counterbore holes with flat bottoms.

Countersink

Displays callout data for all countersink holes.

Slots

References information for simple slots and counterbore slots.

Slot

Displays callout data for slot features.

Counterbore Slot

You also can display simple and counterbore slot length using these Feature Reference buttons on this tab:

  • Path Length , which is sum of the lengths in the slot sketch.

  • Overall Length , which is the same as the path length for slots with flat ends, plus the slot width for slots with arc ends.

Symbols and Values

Opens the Select Symbols and Values dialog box for you to generate the appropriate symbols or model-derived values without having to type the property text codes yourself. Examples of the types of symbols you can select include ± (plus minus), ° (degree), and Ø (diameter). Examples of model-derived values include hole references, bend data, and weld beads.

Special Characters

Specifies mechanical font characters for the text fields.  The available special characters are diameter, square, counterbore, countersink, depth, initial length, arc length, plus/minus, degree, between, statistical tolerance, and carriage return.

Feature Reference

Specifies hole, slot, and thread reference attributes for the text boxes. The available attributes are Size, Depth, Counterbore Size, Counterbore Depth, Countersink Size, Countersink Angle, Thread Size, Thread Depth, Path Length, and Overall Length.
