When applying blends to surface bodies, you must specify the side of the input surfaces on which you want to apply the blend.

You do this during the Side Step by positioning the cursor on the side of each surface on which you want to construct the blend.

You can also specify whether or not the input surfaces or the output blend are trimmed using the Surface Blend Parameters dialog box.
