Apply an override style to the base part style

  1. Choose View tab→Style group→Part Painter.

  2. On the Part Painter command bar, in the Select list, click the type of element you want to apply the override to.

  3. On the Part Painter command bar, in the Styles list, click the style you want to apply.

  4. Click on the element(s) that you want to paint.

You can continue to use the command until you have painted the part the way you want.

Tip:

  • You can click None in the Select list to remove any override that you have applied.

  • You can use the Style Organizer dialog box to copy face style definitions from one file to another. To access the Style Organizer dialog box, on the Format menu, click Style. On the Style dialog box, set the Select Type box to Face Styles, and then click the Organizer button.
