You can use property text to extract information from the Variable Table, which defines functional relationships between the variables and dimensions of a design.
While creating or editing a callout, balloon, family of parts table, drawing table, block, or other annotation, click the Property Text button .
In the Select Property Text dialog box, select the Variables From Active Document option.
From the Properties list, click the first variable you want to use, and then click the Select button.
The correct syntax for the property appears in the Property Text box at the bottom of the dialog box.
Example:
For example, if you select an Area variable, it will generate syntax similar to this in the Property Text box: %{A1400_Area|V}.
(Optional) To show units of measure associated with the value, type the units in the Property Text box immediately following the property text syntax.
Example:
For example, if you type a space and then mm^2 as the units of measure for area, the annotation might display something like this: 160 mm^2.
Continue selecting variables from the Properties list until all of the variables you want are displayed in the Property Text box.
Click OK to extract the property text into the current annotation, table, parts list, or other place of reference.
Tip:
Another place you can enter units of measure is to type them directly into the text box in the annotation, table, parts list, or dimension prefix dialog box after you have selected all of the property text in the Select Property Text dialog box.
For a callout, you would type in the Callout Text box or Callout 2 Text box on the General page of the Callout Properties dialog box.
