Creates a new subassembly for transferred parts.

Template

Specifies the template to be used for the new subassembly. Click the Browse button to select the template you want to use.

Browse

Displays the New dialog box so that you can define the document template you want to use.

New File Name

Specifies the file name of the new subassembly document.

New File Location

Specifies the storage location for the new subassembly document. You can click the Browse button to specify a storage location in a folder on your computer or a computer in your network.

Browse

Displays the Browse For Folder dialog box so you can specify the storage location for the new document.

Positioning Within New Subassembly

Specifies how you want to position the parts in the new subassembly.

Position First Selected Part at Origin and Others Relative to It

Specifies that if the new subassembly is opened in isolation, the parts will be positioned relative to the global reference planes so that when fit the view, the parts will not be remote from the reference planes.  This options provides results similar to creating a new assembly with existing parts. For example, when you create a new assembly and drag the first part in from the Parts Library, it is grounded at the origin of the assembly file.  With this option, the first part you select is placed with its reference planes aligned with the reference planes of the new subassembly and the rest of the parts are positioned relative to this first part.  The subassembly is then positioned as a whole within the upper level assembly.

Maintain Current Offsets From Assembly Origin

Specifies that you want to position everything within the new assembly in the same positions relative to the base reference planes as they exist in the source assembly.   After the new subassembly is created, if you open the subassembly in isolation and the fit the view, the parts might be remotely located from the global reference planes.
