General Tab (Explorer File Properties Dialog Box)

Displays general information about the selected part.

Filename

Displays the name of the document.

Type of File

Displays the type of document. The type is based on the application used to create the document.

Opens With

Displays the name of the application used to open the document. You can use the Change button to change the application used to open the document.

Location

Displays the folder containing the document.

Size

Displays the actual size of the document in bytes, kilobytes, and megabytes.

Size on Disk

Displays the size that the system has reserved for the document.

Created

Displays the date and time the document was created or copied.

Version

Displays the software version used to create the document.

Modified

Displays the date and time the document was last modified.

Version

Displays the software version used to modify the document.

Accessed

Displays the date that the document was last opened or copied.

Attributes

Displays the attributes of the current document. These settings are read-only.

Read-Only

Indicates that the document is read-only. You cannot open a read-only file for writing. You cannot create a file with the same name as a read-only file.

Hidden

Indicates that the document is a hidden document. You usually cannot see this document.

Advanced

Accesses the Advanced Attributes dialog box.
