Translate SolidWorks documents to Solid Edge

  1. From the Start menu, choose Program→Solid Edge ST6→Data Migration→SolidWorks Data Migration.

  2. On the SolidWorks Data Migration Start Page, in the SolidWorks host field, specify a host. You can use the Browse button to display a dialog box that allows you to search for a host.

  3. On the SolidWorks Data Migration Start Page, in the SolidWorks working field, specify the SolidWorks working folder that contains the files you want to translate.

  4. On the SolidWorks Data Migration Start Page, specify a Solid Edge template.

  5. In the SolidWorks Data Migration Start Page, in the SolidWorks configuration File field, enter the configuration file name.

  6. On the SolidWorks Data Migration Start page, specify the log file location information.

  7. If you want to import the SolidWorks documents as managed documents in Solid Edge, select the Enable Add to Library option.

  8. On the SolidWorks Data Migration Start page, specify the Insight Folder location information.

  9. On the SolidWorks Data Migration Start page, click the Next button.

  10. On the SolidWorks File Selection page, select the documents you want to open.

  11. Click the Add button to add the selected folder or documents to the list of files to be migrated.

  12. On the SolidWorks File Selection page, click the Next button.

  13. On the Saving Changes page, specify the configuration file to which you want to save the remapped configuration.

  14. Click the Finish button.
